Collaboration with Sam Morris

Collaboration with Sam Morris

I’m really excited to share a surprise pop-up collaboration exhibition with the incredibly talented artist Sam Morris.

I’ve long admired Sam’s work, she’s well known for her beautiful cow paintings, but she also creates these amazing illustrative pieces that tell rich, layered stories and capture the character of places with such a gorgeous, evocative quality. You can explore her work here: www.samantha-morris.com I highly recommend having a browse. She's also a fellow Lions at Large artist.

We’ve been quietly working on something together behind the scenes, and I’m thrilled to tell you a bit about it…

It’s called "The Cotswold Story", a new collection of narrative-led paintings — and we’re cooking up something quietly powerful together.

Here’s how Sam described it:

"I’m ridiculously excited to include a special collaboration with the brilliant Christina Sadler... We’ve been cooking up something quietly powerful together, responding to the title ‘The bench we used to sit on’. Christina is painting the first layer, then handing it over to me to finish – like artistic tag-team wrestling but with more emotion and less lycra! It’s a visual dialogue between her emotional energy and my narrative detail, and we can’t wait to share it. When we can share more details, we will."

It’s been such a joy to work on something that blends both of our approaches, and we’re looking forward to showing you more very soon. Here's a sneaky peak of sketches she's been working on.
