At first, the painting appears to be a deep, shifting surface of water. But get closer and the light begins to catch on layers beneath it, revealing colours that aren't immediately visible.
Beautiful teals emerge alongside deeper blues and softer traces of colour, with some layers almost disappearing before coming back into view.
The painting changes the longer you look at it. What seems simple from a distance becomes more complex up close, drawing you further down into the layers.
