Trace captures delicate marks and shifting layers left behind in the painting process, a quiet record of movement and presence held within colour.
Layers build and soften across the surface, with earlier marks still visible beneath what came after. Nothing is completely erased, leaving fragments of what was there before.
The painting reflects the way traces can remain long after a moment has passed. A mark, a place, a feeling or a memory, still present even as everything around it changes.
